from "obligation" to "purpose"

had dinner with a good friend tonight.  he talked about how in 3 months he realized the girl he's seeing is THE ONE.  he said you know its different because everything he does now, are done with their future in sight.  he no longer feels he needs to do things because he feels obligated, but he wants to do them from the bottom of his heart, and it all feels so natural - its like, why not?  before he was just living and working for the sake of living and working without knowing where he is heading, now his life has a purpose ...

how touched i was ... how happy i was for him.  may we all find our purposes and happiness in life ... i am sure we all will, sooner or later.

its already the end of the second month of 2005!  feels like we just started the new year ... before you know it, it'll be christmas again ... wonder where i'll be for christmas this year?  would be nice if i was to have my first white christmas in new york ...

got in touch with one of my high-school friends a couple of weeks ago ... well, on e-mail.  makes me wonder - how many of friends do we have out there whom we once spend so much time with, but have lost touch with for years ... it was nice to catch up again and find out what he was up to.  ah, friends ...

we had our ACP interviews the week before last, probably the only couple of days where we had the full class IN SUITS in HK ... here is the evidence.

my first Italian opera last week in HK ... only if i didn't have to spend 80% of the time trying to read the subtitles, maybe i would have been able to enjoy the singing ...

a very late update on our new year's trip to shanghai ... we did everything on our itinerary and everthing that is not on our itinerary, especially when it comes to food ... so much eating ... and lets just say that i had a few more drinks than usual, on the very first early morning of 2005 ...

also got a free meal out of our almost day-long wait for our flight at the airport, because it snowed in Shanghai the day before and the runway got iced up and they ran out of de-icing-fluids ... i got to know the shops between gate 40 to 49 very well ...
